There are two ways to show up for the things that matter.
One is pressure. Your shoulders up by your ears, rehearsing every possible mistake, needing it to go perfectly so you can finally relax.
The other is purpose. Same goal, same standards. Except your body is steady, your mind is on the next step, and you’re actually in the moment instead of watching yourself from above, grading every move.
Most of the women I work with live in the first one. They’re capable, prepared, and smart, and they still walk into the presentation, the hard conversation, the first tee, the first date, bracing.
I remember the first time I felt the inner flow of hitting the golf ball. I was at the course, and I could feel the flow: 1, 2, 3. Everything felt smooth. My mind was focused and clear, and I could replay my smooth shot all day. This is how hypnosis has helped me. I can now imagine my best par (no birdie yet) and focus on that!
Here’s what athletes know about flow, and what the rest of us forget.
Flow comes from attention, not effort. Think of a time you were so absorbed in something that you forgot to wonder how you were doing. You weren’t forcing it. You were simply there. That state is available to you, and you can practice getting back to it.
You don’t have to be perfect to perform well. The best performers aren’t the ones who never miss. They’re the ones who recover fastest. One breath, then the next useful action.
Presence is a performance too. How you listen. How you show up for the person across the table. Putting your phone down. That counts as much as any result.
Try it now (60 seconds)
Feel your feet on the ground. Take one slow breath in, and let it all the way out. Then say these three words to yourself, silently:
Present. Focused. Connected.
Present in this moment. Focused on what matters. Connected to yourself and the people around you.
Use it before a meeting, a hard conversation, a shot, a post you’re nervous to share. The more often you come back to it, the faster your body learns the way home.
The full hypnosis is below for paid members.
The Art of Peak Performance is 30 minutes. I lead you into a deeply relaxed state, help you rediscover your natural flow, and plant “Present. Focused. Connected.” as an anchor your body remembers. Then we bring it into your work, your relationships, and the future you’re building.
Paid membership is $50 a year, and it includes this plus my whole Pattern Vault, with a new audio every week.
Welcome. Here it is: The Art of Peak Performance Hypnosis.
