Build Strength Stamina and Stability in preparation of childbirth and beyond. This class is designed to promote good posture and spinal alignment, easing the strain and tensions involved with a changing body during pregnancy. Exercises have been modified to address the changes and challenges that are inherent and unique to pregnancy. Previous experience is not necessary; beginners are welcome. Monica also teaches on Tuesday nights at the Yoga Center of Santa Rosa.
Cost: $52.00 for series of 4. Sign up is required. 10 student maximum.

Learn pathways of flow within a powerful Vinyasa Flow workshop. Find movement patterns that connect you to the core cultivation of prana so that you can evolve to enjoying handstand in the center of the room with creative energy and empowered vitality. In this dynamic sadhana, transform challenges and bring great ease and vitality into being yoga and release the “doing of yoga”. We will explore and play with Shiva Rea’s Agni Namaskar fire practice and perform 108 prostations in order to open, heal and liberate the flow of prana. This will be a vigorous practice and will include handstands, backbends and partner work. No injuries please. Sign up in advance.

EXTENDED YOGA PRACTICE SANTA ROSA
At the Autumnal Equinox, nature’s energy systems begin to shift. Ancient cultures honored this season as a time to prepare for an inner journey, gathering wisdom and integrating one’s strengths. Join Monica and find balance in your body, mind and spirit and create deeper intention for your yoga practice and life. In this practice we will cultivate a sense of equanimity and overall well being through deeper awareness. Monica will offer guidance in navigating your path through coming season.
Monica will feature a balanced sequence designed to deepen awareness of feeling and knowledge in a particular part of the body and/or a particular family of poses, based on your interests. In September, we will practice pranayama, surya namaskara developed by Shiva Rea, and challenging standing balance asanas. This will include handstands and other engaging arms balances.
